Delegation Leaders are selected by the professional association to represent the members and the goals of the association.  Delegation leaders provide the initial vision and guidance in the development of the professional program. Delegation Leaders assist in facilitating the professional dialog, greeting hosts and representing the delegation members while in the field.

Julia Funaki

Julia Funaki leads this joint AACRAO–AIRC delegation as Director of the International Department at the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). She oversees AACRAO’s Electronic Database for Global Education (EDGE) and leads international credential evaluation work in support of law school admissions. Through the International Institutes and other workshops, she trains admissions professionals in credential evaluation methodology and best practices, work she especially enjoys. She looks forward to learning from Vietnamese colleagues and deepening her understanding of Vietnam’s education system and the people who shape it.
