Delegation Leaders are selected by the professional association to represent the members and the goals of the association.  Delegation leaders provide the initial vision and guidance in the development of the professional program. Delegation Leaders assist in facilitating the professional dialog, greeting hosts and representing the delegation members while in the field.

 

Dr. Douglas Wayne Martin

I have been an OEM physician for 29 years. I wear many hats and am recognized as a national expert in musculoskeletal injury care, causation analysis, independent medical evaluations, and medical review officer work. I am the Immediate Past President of ACOEM. I am also a Past President of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians. I have written three books and numerous other journal articles. I am involved in expert witness work on a variety of occupational medicine topics and issues. I was originally trained as a family physician, and maintain ties to those organizations, having been a past president of the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians. I serve in the AMA House of Delegates as a representative of the Iowa Medical Society.  I have received a number of service awards from medical organizations and also am an Eagle Scout with strong ties still to Scouting.
