Delegation Leaders are selected by the professional association to represent the members and the goals of the association. Delegation leaders provide the initial vision and guidance in the development of the professional program. Delegation Leaders assist in facilitating the professional dialog, greeting hosts and representing the delegation members while in the field.
Emily Mills
Emily Mills – President
Emily is an ST4 General Surgery Registrar in East of England Deanery. She was elected to Executive Committee to hold the role of Yearbook and App Editor in 2022-2023 and then Treasurer for 2023-2025 before being elected as Vice President. Prior to this, she was the Foundation Representative for ASiT. Emily graduated from Brighton & Sussex Medical School in 2020 and also completed a BSc in Functional and Clinical Anatomy at the University of Bristol. She has been a keen advocate of surgical research collaboratives and has been on both the STARSurg and EuroSurg Steering Committees. She was a surgical-oncology themed Academic Foundation Trainee at the University of Cambridge, where she was also an undergraduate clinical supervisor. During her tenure, she aims to ensure that high quality financial regulations are implemented and followed by the Association.
